WHO WE ARE
A REWARDING EXPERIENCE
GIVE A TIP GET A REWARD
Crime
Stoppers
is
based
on
the
idea
that
“someone
other
than
the
criminal
has
information
that
can
solve
a
crime.”
Anyone
with
information
related
to
a
crime
may
call
936-348-3100.
All
callers
remain
anonymous.
The
message
will
go
to
law
enforcement,
but
these
calls
are
answered
at
an
answering
center
outside
of
Madison
County
and
no
caller
ID
or
recording
device
is
used.
The
caller
is
assigned
a
Tipster
Number,
which
can
be
used
to
claim
a
reward.
Crime
Stopper
tips
are
forwarded
to
the
appropriate
law
enforcement
agency
and
the
tips
may
be
acted
upon.
If
that
tip
leads
to
the
arrest
and/or
conviction
of
the
offender
the
tip
is
on,
that
person
may
be
eligible
to
receive
a
monetary
tip.
Anywhere
from
$25
and
up
to
$1000.
When
a
person
calls
about
a
tip
that
leads
to
the
arrest
of
a
probation
offender,
for
instance,
the
payout
is
usually
$25.
But
a
tip
may
be
substantially
higher
if
the
offense
committed
was
a
felony.
History
shows
that
we
usually
pay
out
tips
in
the
amount
of
$200
-
$400,
depending
on
the
crime
and
information contained in the tip.
MADISON COUNTY CRIME STOPPERS
STOPPING CRIME IN OUR COMMUNITY
Madison
County
Crime
Stoppers,
Inc.
was
chartered
in
1984
solely
for
public
purposes.
In
a
publication
written
many
years
ago,
it
was
simply
put,
“Madison
County
Crime
Stoppers
exists
to
stop
the
criminal
in
your
community”.
State
law
allows
for
offenders
to
essentially
pay
for
tips
to
be
gathered!
When
people
commit
crimes
and
are
convicted
of
them,
the
District
Attorney
may
require
that
they
give
a
financial
contribution
or
fine
to
Crime
Stoppers.
Those
fees
are
commonly
gathered
through
the
Probation
Department
or
Courts
and
forwarded
through
the
County
Treasury
to
Crime
Stoppers.
Crime
Stoppers
is
fiscally
responsible
for
those
funds
and
is
closely
monitored
by
the
State
of
Texas.
Crime
Stoppers
also
accepts
donations,
which
may
be
used
for
tips
or
for
program
expenses.
We
also
apply
for
grants
to
help
cover
those
administrative
expenses.
None
of
our
Board
Members
or
Officers
are
paid.
We
are
all
volunteers.
We
strive
to
get
our
community
involved
as
well
as
educated
about
crime
in
our
community.
Our
goal is realy very simple. We want to reduce crime.
THE BOARD of DIRECTORS and OFFICERS RESPONSIBILITIES
CRIME DOESN’T PAY BUT CRIME STOPPERS DOES!
Public
awareness
of
Crime
Stoppers
and
our
local
program
is
our
biggest
challenge.
If
people
don’t
know
what
we
do
and
how
to
reach
us,
we
don’t
get
tips,
and
that
means
we
don’t
give
payouts.
We
man
booths
at
the
Mushroom
Festival,
National
Night
Out,
and
other
community
events,
handing
out
promotional
materials.
We
have
been
working
with
local
businesses,
who
allow
us
to
put
our
signs
up
in
their
windows.
MARI
offered
to
add
our
logo
onto
a
welcome
sign
coming
into
town.
We
work
closely
with
local
law
enforcement
and
hope
to increase participation from tipsters with information that will help law enforcement stop or solve crimes.

CALL TO SUBMIT A TIP
How does someone access the website or text to report a tip?
Simply visit https://www.p3tips.com When the call center answers the phone they will guide the caller with questions to help make
their call become a good tip. The more information the caller is able to give, the better, but if the tipster mentions “my brother-in-
law’s house” or something to give away who the caller is, the tip taker will modify that part of the conversation, so that the tipster’s
identity is not revealed to Crime Stoppers or to law enforcement.
Tipsters are urged to use the offender’s real name, if known, any nicknames, location of the offender, places the offender goes often
or is involved in the crime, the offender’s descriptors – such as height, weight, build, etc. , information on any vehicles they drive,
places they work, or any other information that may help law enforcement identify and/or locate them.
Do you know someone who has
an outstanding warrant?
Does someone you know fail to report to probation as they should? You could earn a
reward by calling Madison County Crime Stoppers at 936-348-3100 and letting law
enforcement know of their whereabouts. If the information you provide directly
leads to the arrest of a probation absconder, you could qualify for a $50 quick tip
payout while you remain anonymous!
This is a series of pictures from a recent promotional event Crime Stoppers did to all of our area
schools. We provided a pencil a person to promote awareness of Crime Stoppers to our school
children! This was just one way we strive to get the word out about Crime Stoppers!
This is a series of pictures from a recent promotional event Crime Stoppers did. Our first annual Cook Off.
It was held November 19-21 2021.
We’re doing billboards and other projets to get the word out about Crimestoppers. Right now we are doing a mailout to every address in
Madison County! The mailings will continue for several weeks until everyone is reached!! It’s our way of getting Crime Stoppers information
into everyhome in our county!
